Welcome to the Northeast Ohio Food Web -- the information clearing house and virtual think tank for the Northeast Ohio Local Food Assessment and Plan. The Assessment began in April of 2010 when several partner organizations selected a national consultant team to assess the state of Northeast Ohio's food system and make specific recommendations on how to significantly "re-localize" over coming years. The Assessment will culminate in November 2010 with a final report and presentation of findings.
The NEO Food Web is a critical part of the Assessment because it enables the consultant team to hear directly from those working to localize the food system about practices, policies, and investments that will be most effective in advancing local food activities in the region. It also provides a feedback opportunity as the team releases shorter reports of its analysis. In return, members of the NEO Food Web gain access to fresh, valuable information and enhance opportunities for regional collaborations.
