Restaurant Survey

Local Food Survey of Restaurants

Thank you for your interest in sharing information about your business to support an effort to organize new local food and farm opportunities in greater Lorain County. The City of Oberlin, with a combined student and resident population of under 10,000, purchases over $16.3 million annually on food. About 6% of this purchasing is local, circulating over $1.2 million in the local food economy. The purpose of this survey is to begin to gauge the interest among local restaurants to direct purchasing to support farms and local food businesses within and around Lorain County to increase the percentage of food dollars that stay in the local economy, helping to create jobs, preserve farmland, and reduce energy used to ship food long distances.
